Warren School District (Currently United School District)

After his health and physical condition began to impede his ability to farm, Dunlap pursued a career in teaching. This career provided a venue for Dunlap to continue to impact his local community positively and inspire younger generations. At Warren School, Dunlap began his teaching career by instructing all subjects and eventually narrowed to only mathematics and, at one point, a conservation class. His former student, Kathy Whaley, recalled that often Dunlap would not only share his knowledge about mathematics, but also stories about his life. Donna Butler, Dunlap's daughter, stated that a handful of his students eventually became teachers or coaches because of his positive impact and inspiration. John Turnbull, who was coached by Dunlap, stated that "[Dunlap] was very influential in Warren School." Information from Interview with Donna Butler ( & The Life of A True American Hero: Robert H.
